Tippi Hedren is an American actress, known for her roles in
the films "The Birds" and "Marnie", after a safari in
Africa in 1971 with her husband decided to make a pet of the lion.
It all started with a regular tour to Africa, after which
Tippi Hedren and Noel Marshall (were married from 1964 to 1982) wanted to make
a film about the beauty and magnificence of the lions.
Trainer Ron Oxley recommended in order to achieve the effect
of realism spends more time studying the behavior and habits of these majestic
wild cats.
Family took his advice seriously, leading to his home the
lion of the Nile, as if he was some kind of a small kitten.
Might be called the history of fiction, if not pictures of
Michel shotgun, which shows all the family member together with the graceful
Nile.
Though scared to see the predator in bed with a child or
playfully nibbled their owners, Neil, in all probability, loved his Hollywood
family.
During the filming of the documentary "roar" of
the family, the production of which lasted 11 years and cost $ 17 million (at
the box office total of $ 2 million), Melanie Griffith (daughter) was bitten by
a lioness, after which her face was coated with 50 stitches.
But all this nothing compared to how much misfortune
overtook operator Jan de Bont: after one of the predators attacked him in
several places on the body of a man had to be transplanted skin.
Also, one of the lions at the shooting attack on an
assistant director Doron Cowper, bite his throat and almost tearing the ear.
Actor Noel Marshall also suffered as a result of the attack
of one of the lions he was hospitalized, and a full recovery from the wounds
inflicted by a predator, it took a few years. And, although the family has lost
almost all his fortune to make a film, they are glad we did not have lost their
lives.
